Fizzy spoke with warmth and authenticity about how her time at Windermere School shaped her journey — giving her the confidence and skills to go on to university, achieve a First Class degree, and now study Graduate Medicine at King’s College London.
She reflected on how both the IB and Windermere experience prepared her for life beyond school, teaching her vital skills such as time management, independent learning, collaboration, and how to think creatively and critically.
Following her Reflection, Fizzy joined our Sixth Formers in Westmorland House, where she answered a wide range of questions about her pathway to medicine, subject choices, and university life. She also shared insights into how she managed her time, balanced her studies, and even how she became so successful in hockey - inspiring many of our students to follow their own passions with the same determination and drive.
It was a truly inspiring visit and a wonderful reminder of the long-lasting impact of a Windermere education. Fizzy’s journey embodies the spirit of our Stannite community - confident, compassionate, and ready to make a difference. 💙
If you’re a Stannite and would like to come back to share your journey or speak with current pupils, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at jgaskin@windermereschool.co.uk.
