Year 13 Take Their Final Walk to Orrest Head

Yesterday, our Year 13 pupils shared a special moment together as they made their way up to Orrest Head for one final walk as a year group.

Set against the familiar backdrop of the Lake District, the walk offered an opportunity to pause and reflect - on friendships formed, challenges overcome and the many experiences that have shaped their time at Windermere School. It was a chance to take in the view, both literally and figuratively, before turning their focus to the next stage of their journey.

Moments like these are an important part of life at Windermere School. They create space for connection and reflection, and help mark significant milestones in a pupil’s journey from student to Stannite.

As our Year 13 pupils now begin their examinations, we wish them every success. They leave this chapter well prepared, equipped with the confidence, resilience and character to embrace the opportunities ahead.

We are incredibly proud of them all and look forward to welcoming them into the Stannite community in the very near future. 💙
