Julie made the journey all the way from Norway to revisit the school that holds so many fond memories for her — and to proudly see the classroom she so generously donated to. The classroom, now known as Troutbeck, was named after her favourite memory of the Lake District and stands as a wonderful testament to her lasting connection with the school.
During their visit, Kelly and Julie toured the campus, reconnecting with familiar sights and sharing stories from their time as pupils. There was plenty of laughter and nostalgia, including a particularly entertaining story about their memorable refusal to walk to Troutbeck Church — a moment that still brings smiles all these years later!
It was a joy to spend time reminiscing and celebrating the spirit of friendship, generosity, and community that continues to define our Stannite family.
Thank you, Julie and Kelly, for taking the time to visit and for reminding us all how special the bonds formed at Windermere School truly are.
